adding 2 more speakers to my stock HU

Hello,

I have an 03 Trailblazer without bose and i have a 2 12" kickers in a bandbass box hooked up to a Lanzar Vibe 240 800 Watt. The subs are tapped off the rear speakers on the stock HU. I wanna add 2 more 6x9 speakers in the trunk and i was wondering if i can just tap off the rear speakers again. Also the amp has 2 RCA line out jacks next to the RCA line in jacks i was wondering if i can use those RCA jacks?

wow, you need to get a good amp for the subs, and why the hell do you want more rear fill. You need to focus on getting a good front stage, buy some good components for the doors and amp them as well.

by the way, your whole post is almost sig worthy!!!

how are your subs hooked up again? Through an amp or the rear speakers? Doesn't make any sense at all to me.

the amp is tapped off the rear speakers n then i have my subs wired in a bridged mode off the amp.

The system is temporary until i get my new car.

And i want more rearfill for the people in the back my frontstage is good.

Just let me know if its possible or will adding more speakers low the impendance and blow my HU?

i would help out, but its a little confusing the way he worded things. I guess for lack of better words in his case.

Anyway, if you are getting a new car, just leave everything how it is or go ahead and put an after market deck in there and run two set of RCAs. One for your sub amp and one for a front stage amp for a good set of components. After you get a nice front stage and sub stage then you can throw in some coaxils if you really want to replace the rear speakers for passengers.

IMO just get an after market deck and make everything 200x easier. "Tapping" the rear speakers for lots of things, or even one thing, will not be the best sounding or most efficient thing any way.

im just asking if its possible or if adding another set of speakers to the same channel will screw up my HU. I know its not going to sound good. Its not my everyday car.
