how do you do in ce pro2.0? i've tried with sweep in audacity and that was clipping even at low level ... how to not make bassline sound great?

just leave it at -6db pick the freq and pick the length.

Adobe Audition 1.5 is what I use. I manually crate my own bass lines and add them in the songs.

The software version of the Novation Bass Station would be a great way to add bass lines, drops, and what not. Only problem is one needs to know a little about music, pitch, and key to make it sound like it belongs in there.
