I have a 2019 Acura RDX A-Spec and looking to add a shallow subwoofer in the storage area in the trunk. I already have a amp which is a alpine PDX M6. Looking to add one 12" on that power. I'm mostly looking at the JL audio tw3 and tw5 and the sundown sd4. Do you have any experience with these subs as I've never owned a shallow sub. It doesn't have to be the loudest but I want to be able to hit all the notes. Also this will be sealed box. I have about 1.1 ft3 net volume.

What is the Max depth you are willing to utilize? You can make a bit more depth with very little customizing work, like using some 1x2s to give a solid frame structure to work with and place the face onto that?

you may be able to do a 3" Aero port if you have the room and a solid 10 to get some work out of the sub stage and some fairly decent tuning

Build a false floor and get some depth to get a nice pair of tens or 12s in or a single .. maybe even a 15 if you want?
