actual amp output

i came across a SSL amp for a couple bucks so picked it up. it is a monoblock amp f1500d i believe. i know there is no way this amp pushes 1500watts at 2ohms, but i was wondering if the actual rms output would even be 400-450, im wanting to run a single kicker 8inch L7 or 10inch L5 off of it and wanted to know if it'd be enough or if i should run a sub that is made for even less than that.

Rated at 1000watts@2ohms, but i doubt it will do that. Should still be ok for an L7 though

hmmm i just went on their website and it isnt the one the have up there, i guess its older. the one on their site is stable at 1ohm and i know the one i have isnt. and i was told the 1500 stood for 1500max watts which would put it at around 750rms or so, in theory. from what ive read they are closer to 2/3rds the power that is claimed.

both the 10in l5 and 8in l7 are 900max 450rms. i just didnt want to under power the sub. i guess i could go with an 8in l5 or 10in vt if i had to.

ok so i found the specs on this cheep little thing, since it states 800rms i figure ill be fine with one 450rms sub. reading more i guess these things are pretty junky. clearly not looking to shake the car apart but it'd be some bass atleast. now if i can just find a stealth enclosure for my firebird that will hold a square sub.
