absolute 'best bang for the buck'

I'm sure this has been asked before, but what do you think the best subwoofer(s) you can buy are, for the price range of no more then $300. I mean hardest hitting sub(s). Amp needed does not matter, not yet.

I'm looking for an upgrade and I want to broaden my options more then just Polk Audio subs lol.

I think you gotta spend 40 dollars more and get a

Mach 5 SPL or a Ed 13av.2, AQ HDC3

phoenix gold rsds they will take 1k rms each in a good box... and they will get super loud for their design/price

I am a fan of the rsd's though....love mine and they were ~$65 each(I think...cant remember)
