real or not, it isn't going to be like it was back in the day... i have had it, and a lot of my friends have too, but i have never heard of anyone being anything but drunk. granted, i was pretty drunk since its strong. i still think its just a waste of money that is cool cuz it's illegal. and paying that much for a strong bottle of liquer to be shipped to you is just crazy.

After some research, the modern-day absinth is not really like the origonal. While it still contains thujone, it is regulated to 10 ppm in beverages containing over 25% alchohol. And the manufactur of anything over that is illegal in most places. It is rare to find a drink with the origonal ingrediants and if you have something that is manufactured and labled, it most likely is not close to the real thing. Also, the effects of nothing like what you saw on Eurotrip, I think that is what started the big fuss in the States.
