So for the past year I've completely immersed myself in car audio forums and wikipedia articles about electric current and acoustics in attempt to learn as much as I can before spendin a dime on my first setup. I think I've finally decided on what i want and ANY ANY ANY advice, comments, or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
This is what I was thinking:
Boston pro60 6.5" components powered by a Cadence 300.2 at 150x2@ 4 ohms
Audioque HDC3 15" powered by an AQ1200.d
24"H x 22"W x 18"D, 4.404^3ft gross vol. Slot port, 20.5" x 2" x 28.7"long@33Hz. After all displacement, 3.348^3ft net yield.
ALpine iDa- X1000
I found this amp kit from what I can see it includes everything I think I would need including two dist. blocks. From what I've read I know that the capacitor probably isn't necessary for 1600 watts but i figure that it can't hurt anything. If at all possible I want to stay away from upgrading my alternator or battery.
A few questions about the stinger amp kit and wiring. Are there any other wires i will need besides whats included in this kit. It seems like it doesn't include wires from the power dist. block to each amp and from each amp to the ground dist. block. What it is the 17 ft. shielded twisted pair interconnect cable for? or the 12ga speaker wire?
One last question. component crossovers, where and how do you connect the crossover to the speakers. Do the crossovers only connect to the amp and do the RCA cables go from the amp to the headunit and then to the speakers? What kind of RCA cables would you recommned? And if I were to wire the capacitor to the AQ1200.D, how would i do that?
