??? about spectrum sludge

hi i have 5 gallons of sludge and am woundering if the surface that i put it on has to be completly clean. the previous owner glued the carpet to the floor and it is alittle sticky and hard to get off.

Anytime you apply ANY type of coating it is ideal to have the surface as clean as possible. It may stick for now, but eventually, if could start to loosen and break up over time.

I'd definately make sure the surface is clean and has had time to dry before I'd put anything on it. It's alot of extra effort, but it'll be worth it in the long run.

I did not clean mine before putting it on....and i don't think its coming off anytime soon. Plus, it is made to go over your previous deading mat.
