I may have found a good deal on one of these badboys, but i want to know if my electrical will be able to handle it. It will be wired to a 2ohm load, and theres no way im going to be using all 4800RMS its rated at, probably more around 2500RMS, but from the looks of it, it may be cheaper for me to get this than anything else around 2500RMS @ 2ohms.

anyways, i have a kinetik800 under the hood, a kinetik 2400 in the back, 1/0 between them, and the stock alternator (i believe 140amp)

will that be enough to run this thing at around 2500-2800RMS tops?

hahaha......i believe it means the amps:laugh:
yeah it does, but on the kinetik website they reccoment 1 amp for every watt of power.

anyways, i wasnt too worried about the battery power i guess, more on the fact that this amplifier is designed for 5000RMS and ill be running it on an electrical designed for much less. I guess as long as i dont crank the gain i'll be okay lol? that prolly wouldnt be good for the subs tho either //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

You prolly would only get 4000 out of it at full tilt 1ohm anyways.....why not get another Hifonics?

Youll get the 2500 watts out of it. Just be prepared for your lights to dim. And I've never heard of 1 amp per watt. I've seen installs with less and no problems with voltage. My Blazer is gonna have around 5000 amps for 8000 watts. Hopefully it will be fine. You shouldnt' have any issues and if you do there are numerous ho alts that will fit in the ava.

I've got a Hifonics BXi2607d right now set to do just under 2000RMS, and the only time i get dimming is at idle //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

One says 4000.....one says 6500

Why not another Hifonics?

Even if you dont use it, if you're getting a helluva deal on it, id grab it anyway. Why the hell not right? They are very current hungry but if you're running it at 2 ohms its gonna be a lot easier on your electrical.
