? About Older Orion Amp

Hey,

This is my first post here, a coworker told me about this site a few weeks ago. This is a great forum with a lot of info. I am not new to the car audio game but I haven't keep up with it over the last several years just been riding motorcycles and racing cars for the last few years. Well I am getting the audio bug again because about two months ago I was helping my neighbor clean out her garage and she was just interested in throwing out all the junk her nephew's let behind, she has a three car garage/ workshop in her backyard, and she was showing me the boxes and stuff that needed to go. Well she didn't know what a lot of the stuff was, she just wanted it out and said her nephews had gotten locked up, so me and another neighbor removed most of the items cause we were explaining what she should keep. She kept the home entertainment system which was sweet, but she let me have aN ORION 375.2 amplifier new in the box. Now I do remember orion from back in the day but not this generation, I plan on running it on my front stage that I bought from this dude from the classified at my gig which he said were real good but was upgrading his system so he sold me his components set which he used for about three weeks then traded in his car for a suv and he wants to go 3 way now. The comps are some CDT HD 6.5s and said he was giving them like almost 200 watts. I would like to know if the amp can power the speakers okay since it is rated at 93.5 @ 4ohms per channel and if any one has used this model of amp before? Any info will help.

Oh yeah I listen to all types of music from Guitar to oldies but goddies to Hip Hop if that helps. And I did some searching but didn't find anything so far.

nice amp and nice comps........your going to have a very nice front stage. as far as the power thing goes i dont know but you have nice equipemint.

Thanks. I havn't had a chance to hook anything up yet but I am sure that it works. The dude from my job is a audiophile in home stereo who traded in his vette for a yukon an got his wife a car also but he also got the audio itch as a well. At our age he is a big spender on his installs, he kind of flashy, I am just looking for sound quality. I heard his set-up before the uninstall and it was loud and clean to me but he wants more so lucky me I got them for $125 since I was a co worker. I will install them soon but it's about to get cold anound my parts so I might hold off until next spring, these old bones don't like the cold. I Have a 350 z i want to install this in. Now all I need is a budget sub set up worry about but I am not in a hurry just want to take it one step at a time and just her done right the first time around.
