? about baskets

hi guys,

i want to build 2 15" or 2 18" not sure yet.

but have been thinking is the spoke count matter? is a ti basket better ?

and was looking here for parts is this a good place? if not anybody with some links to were you get your sub parts?

also want to build them for about 2500 to 3k power each.

im about 80% sure im going to do 2 - 18"

When I was thinking on reconing my re se 10d4s to take more than the rated 600wrms, I found that site you mentioned, and called. Great feedback, and willing to build to my needs. The only reason I didn't follow through was that I found a set of tc 12inch subs. He was going to rebuild mine for less than the price of a new set of 1000wrms tens, about 130 apiece, we were on the phone for a good 30minutes trying to figure things out, great guy. I say call him, and see what happens, just my .02.

The Ti basket is really popular because of the excursion it will allow, and the spider size and location. The 12 spoke is about the most limiting I think of the generic baskets.

well im disabled dont get a lot of money each month and cant oford $400 ^^ subs. this why i can get my baskets,, then motors and so on. if i do it this why i can build some bad asss subs.

i just have no clue what baskets to get,, or motor,, or ???

so i have been reading allot and i keep reading about some say 12 spoke baskets are better,, some say ti baskets are best.... you see what i mean.

im trying to see what you guys think about this.

does it really matter if its a ti or if it has 12 spokes verses 6 spoke ?

but its great to know about that site as they seem to have good prices...

Contact sundown used 18 baskets 20 each plus shipping, get two zv2 spiders with leads 5 each and two zv2 spiders without leads 3 each. That link will be a great place to buy a coil and cone. Dustcap can be had from a lot of places. Poly caps will be by far cheaper.

im just trying to learn about subs.

are 8 spokes better then 12 spokes ?

i have found 6 spoke 18" but not 12 spoke 18" ..

thanks but i just cant afford that all at one time. thats why i want to build as i can get 1 part at a time. if i do that i can get some good parts to make a killer sub stage.

and ya motors are not cheap i seen some for like $200 each... dam... lol...

only if i could work and make some money but cant. so have to do what i can do. but thanks.
