i saw that other thread. so far the basket, cone, dustcap just look like run of the mill. maybe nick was referring to the motor being different?

ive seen the motor and everything on it, im still looking for this big revelation that i overlooked on the pics i seen.

I think you have the driver mistaken. The Mayhem is almost identical to a BTL(spl sub) as to where an AVA is driver that had kickass sq, got low as shit an had decent output. So it depends what characteristic(sp?) of the sub your talking bout.
