That's what happens when you play way below tuning with no subsonic filter and a bunch of power.

Carlos has the same cones in his van..no failures..

Mike from Extreme Audio was in the 179.3dB range with..no failures.

Right..

That shows what happens when you have something that is tuned properly and does not play vastly below the tuning frequency of everything and shred parts.

There is WAY more pressure per square inch on those cones than in any other scenario.

If you don't have your stuff set up properly it will shred like that...or if you have a weird pressure spot in the enclosure it will fold the cones like kmart lawn.

Subsonic filters, Gains, and Proper tuning is key. Speakers are dumb...they do what you tell them to do..in the environment in which they are in.
