A stupid question

Ive got a 18" bl and am just running a 850w rms kenwood amp (i bought a hk4000d from breakdalaw in the classifieds and got scammed out 300 ****ing dollars). Im trying to decide if i should get some new wheels in the fall or buy a bigger amp now and have the wheels wait... ive got about 430 dollars.

So the question is, how much louder will the bl (with no options) get on say 1500 watts than on 850?

I know theres variables blah blah but is there going to be like a huge difference or what?

With the BLs stiff suspension, it's going to take a good bit more than 1500 to get very noticeable gains. I suggest changing your sub from a BL to a SSD, keeping the Kenwood amp, and getting some wheels.

well how much power will a BL with no options take?
So you think id get noticeably louder with teh ssd?
I don't know - there are no equations to plug variables into here. I wish I could tell you, maybe some else can who has used them both.

DO NOT SWITCH TO THE SSD. I had a 15 in 4cubes @34hz and switched to a fully loaded bl in the same box and gained 2db. Plus it got so much lower then the ssd. It was a night an day difference. So just stick wid what u got and get at least a 1000rms.
