A question for you Precision Port users...

I'm designing a 6th order BP box for my sub, and I'm kinda limited on space(being able to fit it through the door). I have 7.5" worth of height in the front chamber to work with, and the cutout for 4" PSP's is 7.25". I can get the cutout done fine, not really worried about that...but can I fit the flared port on the back with just 7.5" of clearance in there?

In other words, what's the diameter of the rear flare of a 4" PSP?

u got the dimension,,, u tell us...........

make sure to have your ports glued together properly and i mean REALLY PROPERLY... i have blown 2 apart and watch the sub start to stress out!!!!

the way that sub is going to be positioned is going to kill efficiency.

the way that sub is going to be positioned is going to kill efficiency.

It's the only way I can do it....the sub is too big to configure it any other way and still be able to fit it through the door.

What sub and what is the airspace of each side? Obviously it's a parallel tuned but I'm curious as to why you decided to go with a 6th order in such a small space.

Front chamber is 4ft^3, rear is 5ft^3...roughly. I can make the box bigger, but then I end up with 3" long ports if I use three 4"ers for each chamber, and I can't fit the 6" ports in the space I have available for the front chamber.

Also, front chamber is tuned to 57hz, rear at 50hz.

Oh, of course. There's a nice 23db peak at 54hz...we'll see how well that transfers over to my truck.

^^^That was back when I was fiddling with different things, but the way I have it now is nearly identical as far as the peak goes. I'm going for all-out spl, hence the psp's that I can adjust on the fly.
