I have found out that the listed trunk for the eclipse is 16.6 cubic feet, is that enough to hold 4 type Rs in a ported box?

Most likely no, I can get a really good deal at my car audio store but I was just wondering what you guys think would be a system you could hear from a block away lol.

why do u wanna be heard? do u hate money that much? it is enough if u can use ALL or MOST of the space. my trunk is something like 19 cubes, but i cant fit a **** 6 cubic foot box in it.

What about 2 type X 15"?

In the trunk of an eclipse.. Idd say 2 type-x 12" ported would get stupid loud. If you can fit a proper enclosure.

How about that set up with 4 ported, 2 in the center and 2 on the sides? I have a question on the biggest amp at Alpine.com is the MRD1005 if I am not mistaken and it says at 4 ohms it puts out 500 watts, would I need 4 of these to give each sub the RMS ?

I would go with a single, larger amp...just a lot easier from a wiring standpoint to hook up a single 2kW amp than four smaller ones. Cheaper, too.

I'd look into 2 RE SX subs, you wont be dissapointed with 2 15" or two of the powerbass extreme series subs.

How would 2 XXXs, when they come out, compare to 2 SE and the same with 2 type Rs? Also I really wanna go all alpine, let the bashing begin, because I know there stuff is good.
