Hey, I have 4 swr-1242 already, they sound great, and definately are stupid loud as stated. I have them in separate ported boxes and one amp per 2 subs. I have my 2 kenwood kac-x811d's connected and controlled through my excelon deck. Personally, I'm very very happy with my system.

I can say forsure that you won't regret getting these subs

I have 2 type Rs in the my forenza I have right now I do love thats why I want 4 in the eclipse I will be getting. I was just wondering if you guys had an y suggestions, also how do you guys feel about the F1 status speaekers?

I would first use about a grand of that budget to dynamat your car. With 4 subs, you are bound to knock something loose. Then start deciding what you want...do you want more spl and less sq, or do you want the opposite?

Spend for at least 1/0 gauge power, and at least a couple of batteries. You may want a new alternator. USE THE BIG 3!!!

Once the car is dead, has ample wiring, then look for the best fit for your taste. 10 grand is alot to work with, but remember, more is not always better! It is up to you for your taste in music.

Just have fun with it and enjoy yourself. The Alpine F1#status is freaking awesome sounding! but you will spend nearly 2/3 of your cash on HU, Processor, and Amp.

I now about dynamat because I talk to a guy at my local audio store and he told me that $200 for the kit and $250 for install, if i want thme to do it. That icludes doors , roof everything inside. He said that what happenes a lot is the roof will flex so for sure I will dynamt it. If I want the trunk it wil probably be $600 for everything installed. I am for srure going to get a new alternator upgrade the wires from the alternator. Probably a 200-225 amp alternator. I will get a red top battery and a yellow top for the setero. I know I wil lneed an isolator, will someone explain to me what that is?From the pic I sent, do you think 4 type Rs will fit in there with a ported box or should I go with 2 15s X? Is the F1 with the money, honestly? If it is I wont mind spending more on it,

I just saw they dont make x's in 15, what about 2 12in Xs comapired to 4 type Rs. I can get the type Rs for about $130 with warranty. I am not sure how much I can get the Xs for but I am sure it will be a good deal. What is the processor in the F1 satus do?

alpine makes a type r 15" at 750wrms.(something like 50 to 750wrms).

I was thinking that 4 12inch type R would have more cone area tha say 3 15 incg type R, what do you suggest is better?

why all apine? ntohing against alpine but there are alot of brands out there than can do just as well if not better.
