I dunno maybe it's just me and growing up in a shitty ghetto area but the hoodrats always looked the same to hence the fact a lot of kids were getting pregnant from 12-15 when I was younger but I pretty much remember it being about the same.

I also remember being with a buddy when we were both 20 and talking to some young 14-15 year olds, he wanted to go drink with them and try to get some azz but I already knew better and passed, they surely were not dressed uptight.

I am almost 31 now so figure these stories are 10-16 years old so I would say since my highschool years have not changed that much though if I were 40 I imagine it would be a much different story.

Why would someone eating these "things" be preferentially selected by Mother Nature as being better suited for survival and reproduction than someone who doesn't/hasn't?
If anything pro-estrogenic compounds are ruing that chance as female fertility is shit and hardly any dudes above 50 can get their dick up anymore.

Back to the OP's question. There's research done with babies that's shown that attractiveness (esp female) is selected for. They take toddlers and put them in front of a two monitors...one with a female face that's attractive according to societal norms and one that's not. They kids pick them more attractive face significantly more, IIRC. Don't quote me exactly, It's been awhile since Sociology 101.

But I know exactly what you're talking about. If TV had never been invented, the teenage ***** pheonomenon would never have come about. Natural beauty will always be admired, but too many kids don't understand what it is be cause they have false ideas beaten into their head 24/7.

I guess I wasn't clear about my views of the chemicals in specific. I AM NOT advocating that one would be better off, survival wise, if you consumed them. I'm saying pretty much what you said ( in so many words) about the impacts on fertility on females and guys being able to get it up.

Pro-estrogenic compounds DO have drastic adverse side affects, but even speaking from an apperance or attractiveness perspective, they are impacting that to. Haven't you noticed these 15 and 16 year old girls with the nice, bubble ***** and developing tits (I'm no Pedo, but let's be honest here)? Not entitely mother nature.

As a whole, all of society is changing. Girls are dressing more provactive, and their mentality is complete different from when I was younger.

My younger cousin, he is 11, know stuff now about *** and drugs, that I didn't know till much later in life. I'm not saying that I am that old either, I am about to be 19, so by many standards I am still pretty young, but even since I was younger, things have changed alot.

I think its more natural selection than evolution. Like Nick touched on its better looking people mating. And I would say wealth plays a larger part in that than one would think.

I disagree with the premise behind the question.

The girls I grew up with were every bit as attractive as the ones today.

I think a lot of you guys were just not that into girls when you were younger.

I think the "chance" of landing one of those girls becomes greater with age, and no one wants to be with an ugly girl...so what is a pretty girl changes because of increased opportunity.

I disagree a little because as the population grows and the capabilities of medicine increase, the average schmoe and the ulgy schmucks can still get it on and have functional children like everyone else. Plus with more and more people connected via electronic media, there is greater opportunity for people to meet and get it on.

 

I agree somewhat on the hormones in everyday foods. Children are growing bigger and faster then before, so much so that I heard some child clothing lines are adjusting their sizing scales.
