While me and donny were shopping today for potential subs to blow up, we thought of alittle game people may like to play.. and also will help us with our experiments on the best DURABLE subwoofer for the LOWEST price money can buy.
Today we picked up a 12" MEGA SOUND sub.
specs:
12" "Kevlar Look" Polyproplene cone
grey foam rubber surround
Single 4ohm
1.5" voice coil
22oz. magnet
60 watts RMS
300 watts PEAK
Sensitivity - 87db

I feel from looking at this sub, even tho the RMS is rated so low. that this will surpass our last tests of the "Cuspids" wich only lasted 10 seconds on a 45hz burp, lol.
We decided maybe to not only make this fun for us but to also make this fun for our viewers with alittle pool.
this is how the pool will work. the sub will be placed into a 1 cubic foot SEALED box. the sub then will be burped at a 45hz tone (no break in time) untill the subwoofer blows. at the moment the sub produces no more sound levels the time will be recorded. The pool then will go to the winner that guessed that time. NO ONE is allowed to choose the same time, first come first serve (for example someone chooses 15seconds, that number is taken no one else may choose it). The numbers will be displayed everytime there is a new entree. The winner recieves 70% of the pools earnings. the other 30% will go to the next potential woofer that will be BLOWN for the next contest. a contest will be held every 2-4 weeks (payday).
