A new cold war coming?

Guys the US and Russia NEVER STOPED updating there nuclear weapons ! If you watched the history channel you'd know this //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Also we are in a cold cold secret war that the pubic doesn't know about. I'm a PMC trust me it hit the fan along time ago.
We could **** russia up. Nukes or no nukes.

x2!
I have a bad feeling about this whole Russia, Georgia thing going on. I heard it already has over a 1000 people that have been killed.

Bush supposedly talked to Putin, but who knows what is really going on.
Same here, I am really uncomfortable right now, because I'm some what in the region. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

With a two front war already in place? We'd get our shit pushed in.
short of nukes i dont think russia would do much to us. theyre so f'ed up over there. that president they have though kinda scares me.

that being said though, the corps is gearing up now for afghanistan and the army is still going strong with iraq. it would be hard to have enough forces to go to war with russia. i think however it would be more of a similar thing as back in the 80s where we supplied the afghans with weapons and training and sent them off to the field to do their own fighting. the US has a long history, all the way back to when we were barely a country, of supplying training and weapons to countries and having them go at it. the only one that really back fired on us so far was vietnam, simply bc we escalated it too much and got way too involved.

We're not getting involved military wise we are over stretched as it with a force that is strained from constant deployments. In addition, the Democrats would never allow it giving the concern of the economy and they're the ones up for re-election.

On top of that entering into a major war on an election year would put the next president in an akward position assuming it goes that long of course.

yeah right now the corps is trying to go from 1:1 ratio of deploying to 1:2 ratio of deply to home time.

i dont see it really happening with the current situation bnut at elast theyre trying. even if they dont reach taht goal it would be alot better if the could make it at least 1:1.5

You have the Army who is just starting to get out of the policy of 15 months deployed 12 months home with 4 or 5 deployments per soldier at times.
Long deployments typically harden an army, and make them more efficient and powerful as a whole. The Russian military as a whole is shit. They have decent ground to air defenses. Thats about it. They have sputniks and assorted dust covered military equipment falling out of closets in their parliment buildings.
