A house exploded in my subdivision

That house is more than double that... Every house here is about 1mil or higher.
There are houses in that subdivision you could acquire for around 500k. That looks to be one of the smaller ones (4000sq ft>) is why I said that. Now one that was upward of 8000 sq ft and a decent chunk of land in there, would probably be in the range of 1.5-2mil. I can guarantee you that house is not double that. It's small(compared to other houses in there), another thing is it's not custom built like a lot of homes in there.

I missed this post... in that particular neighboorhood, no house is 500k period. Look in the news paper, that house was 6 or 7 thousand square feet. It clearly said in the paper the 1 million dollar home.. Trust me that house is huge, the front shot does not do it justice.

Do you forget what I do for a living? In Whittington Creek, houses start at around 300K plus whatever the lot cost, probably around 50k in the cheap section(if you can call it that). Most of the cheap houses are in Dickinson Row. I help build a couple of them. Sherwood is where the houses start to get up there. Minimum for that area is probably around 500k+lot.

Here's one for under 500k. http://whittingtoncreek.org/portal/node/5

I also want to add that me and a buddy of mine was supposed to be doing some re-modeling work to that very house. They guy was fixing to sell it from what I understand. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

The house blew up in the sherwood neighboorhood. There is not a 500k house in sherwood period. I know there are 500k houses here, but not in sherwood. Thats all I was trying to say.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A million-dollar home in West Knox County is destroyed and one person is dead, after an explosion early Wednesday morning, likely casued by natural gas.

I work in the natural gas industry.... it's scary how easy it can do damage, especially at the pressures I work with... just last week one of our employees was slightly injured lighting a gas fired heater, blew him off the ladder and the heater through the wall, he was lucky to survive....
