most likely a meth lab inside....and things went wrong...or they were out of work and pulled an insurance scam....

The explosion, in the Whittington Creek subdivision off Northshore Drive, was reported about 3:13 Wednesday morning. Stephen and Sue Krzeski have been hospitalized. Their teenage son is believed to have been sleeping in the basement of the two-story brick house when it exploded and burst into flames, apparently the result of a funky pup.

anything, fridge kicking on, turning on a lightbulb, pilot light, numerous things could have triggered it.
