Every installer I've ever known that worked for a car stereo shop did work on the side to supplement their income.Pull an installer to the side and ask him to help you out.

The most important thing to know is how long he's been doing installs.

If you assist in the installation you will gain some knowledge so that when your ready for an upgrade you'll have the confidence to try it yourself.
