Here's a pair of subs that I purchased back in 1999 (pre buy-out). They were part of a custom install, powered by a McIntosh MC443 (also for sale in another thread). I never really ran them hard, but there is some minor cosmetic scratching on the back side of the subs where they were mounted. Functionally, they're perfect.

These subs are great for a sound quality installation, but not so hot if you want a peaky SPL setup. I've still got the original spec sheets with response curves and stuff, so you can use those for building/buying the right enclosure.

  • Two 4-ohm voice coils
  • 300W RMS power handling per voice coil
  • 92dB sensitivity
  • flat response down to

$125 each, plus shipping. I'm in the Pittsburgh area, so if you're in the neighborhood, I could deliver them in person and skip the shipping.

AWESOME old-school SQ subwoofers here. I've heard these in multiple setups and they sound very VERY pretty. Nice price on 'em, too, since they look to be in decent shape.

Pretty much suited mostly for medium-sized sealed enclosures, aren't they? Something like 1 cube for each 10, right?

As he said, NOT for SPL use, but they are indeed one of the better respected all-time SQ subs.

Good luck with the sale!

Yeah, they're pretty flat in-car with a sealed box around 1 cu. ft. My first set of boxes had about 0.8 and my second one was right at 1.0. They've got charts for vented or bandpass, too, if you want to boost up the 40 Hz to 50 Hz range. When I got them, it was a choice between them and the Kicker SB 10's. Went for these, and never looked back. Nice and tight.

I'm new here, and apparently a lot of people are getting scammed, so if you have any question as to the validity of this, send me a PM. I'm willing to give you a call, or shoot you an email with better pictures.

I had a set of those for HT, good stuff there! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Polo..

Bumpalicious.

Like I said in my ad for the McIntosh amp, I'm looking to upgrade my bass guitar rig. Let me know if you've got any interesting bass gear and maybe we could do a trade.
