Hey guys, been a while. Sorry I haven't been contributing as much lately. Still trying to regain some closet space and thin the herd, and I could also use some extra cash for the holidays. All of these have a few minutes of testing on them but are unused, essentially brand new. No dibs, no holding.

Please feel free to PM me with any questions about individual performance and specs.

For those who don't know me yet, http://www.caraudio.com/forum/buyer-...ck-thread.html

Check my iTrader as well!

Don't the lack of tall rubber surrounds fool you, guys. These things will allow for 3+ inches of travel, no problem. These drivers sound incredible, and they don't need tons of power or large enclosures to do it.

I watched your vid on the epic. Thats actually not coil rock but the coil bottoming. The tc2+ motor had an issue with that. Ive had a few factory tc2+'s that did that. Once they're in a box its not noticeable unless you overdrive it. Most subs are usually suspension limited but this specific one seems to be motor limited. Thilo used a 1.8"ww on the coil. Should have used a 1.5"ww. Then you could utilize lower frequencies better without bottoming out. Still an excellent driver and awesome price!
Na, trust me it's coil rock. I verified that by two methods. The first is by gently touching the surround in the right place I can get it to stop and apply more power without any mechanical noise at all. The second is by taking apart a third driver that I had and measuring the inside depth of the motor vs. the length of the coil/former from the bottom of the spider. There was a 3/16th's difference favoring the motor so that the spider bottoming on the top plate would prevent the coil from ever touching the relief cut on the T-yoke for the coil. All in all, I had four of these 10" TC2 drivers and one of them was perfect with a massive stroke and three of them were misaligned with a limited stroke. My 8" TC2+ EPIC didn't do it either.
Hey, I've got some motors if you're still looking for some. TC2, TC9 and such, just shoot me a PM. Thanks for the bump!

Some have asked, these are not recones. They are prototypes that were sent as samples to prospective clients. The prices are pretty good for such rarities with this level of performance. I would rather you guys enjoy these than to have to go to eBay but I needs teh moneez.

What size enclosure would you recommend for about 1" excursion and an under rated 420@2 (close to 500@2) on the TC2'? Of course SQ and flatest frequency response from the box as possible (not counting in car enviornment, we have EQ's for that).

Not sure I would put that much power to just one of these, but it would do very well in about 1.5 to 2 cubic feet @ 22 - 28Hz.

Indeed.
I still owe you one so $75 shipped would be a done deal for you.
All I got to figure out is if I can fit it. I currently have 1.4 cubes with my ID8D2V3's ported, but my main goal is to gain hatch space without sacrificing SQ and pissing the wife off by getting a larger enclosure.

What do you think I could get away with sealed up?

If you're willing to use a little EQ love, I wouldn't hesitate to throw it on .5 to .8 cubic feet with fill. Then you could easily throw that 500@2 at it, EQ would probably require it. You'd just need to feel it out concerning the balance between applied EQ and limited excursion. Worst case scenario, if it didn't work well for you, you could return it (less shipping). Just don't abuse it! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
