lets say i get a 1500w rms at 2 ohms amp, what will i need to make sure i dont blow my alt? i have an 85amp alt. big 3 is too much of a pain on my car. will i need a new battery? cause i have a $20 battery from autozone, the silver and they told me not to run anything to it. or can i just get a compac.

haha u better not lol. flipside on here has the same alt as i do and same battery and i think he ran his bxi1606 off of it. im not sure why he did that haha phill.. but im not sure how much i will need to run around 1500w.

2001 eclipse gt, i would have to splice like 6 wires into the wire. i know there battery is trash but it was 20 bucks haha and i was BROKE. thats why i was asking wat would i need

ur good, just a lil better battery and good wiring and install, i have the bxi1606 and zxi6006 at same time off that lil batteyr and stock alt so ull be good

well if you do the math..

85A alternator X lets go high and say 14.4 Volts = 1224 watts, and thats at 100% efficiency on a high voltage, your probably more likely going to get 11.8-12.8V.

ewww with my 85amp alt and yellow top mine sits about 13.5 with the system at full go
so 85A X 13.5 = 1105, not really sure how your pushing a 1606. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
