just in overall performance? which one would you pick? granted ideal enclosures, adequate power and all that jazz.

Atlas 2.5 sealed.....great SQ.....600 wrms wired @ 6 ohms (yum)

Its so smooth...man...I love it!

Never tried the Atlas ported though.

well...when wired at 6 ohms, their power handling capabilities increase

I have the gains down...

I giving it roughly 550 watts RMS @ 6 ohms //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

but yea...I dont recommend anything over 400 watts RMS when using a vented enclosure

uhm...those enclosure sizes might be a bit small for the 15" Atlas

I have it in a 2.5 sealed with polyfill.

They recommend 3.0 cubes sealed and 3.5-4.0 ported (after displacement)

yep...try them, you might like how they sound

small sealed for the Atlas will give you tighter bass....while sacrificing a bit of the low end

atlas in a ported box w/ a qts switch (low to high). The SE is a **** fine sub, but I think the atlas sounds better IMO. Much more mellow than the se.

Don't think he'll lose anything in the SQ department if he chooses the atlas, but maybe a bit of output
