maybe this wont get deleted, since i am neither trying to sell or buy firearms there for breaking no rules

so i am wanting a nice compact gun to carry around something that has 3.5" barrel like these two models the price difference isnt much for the ammo in the

9mm and the .40 i hear the 40 is more powerfull than the 9 and more man stopping power, and only 2 shot diff in the mag

which one would u go with the 9 or 40 and why, also which one has more recoil making it harder to be accuarate with quick follow up shots and how much more recoil does one have over the other

if u vote on the poll post why you picked the one u did

Thanks

I would not get a S&W auto. Try looking at a Kel-Tec, they are reliable, compact, and inexpensive. I have one of their carbines and it's an awesome gun. Most of the deputys and cops in central Florida carry them off duty. They have THE BEST customer service.

All things being equal the .40 will have more recoil. If you want a compact auto you will have to deal with the recoil. Technique and practice will serve you best.

yea i understand that and i am looking for a sub compact gun like the two i posted so the .45 not only cost alot more to shoot and pratice with but only carries like 6 or 7 shots compared to 11 or 13, and i really like the S&W look of the gun that or i am considering the springfield xd or the glock 26

well i want a nice sleek looking gun not something weird looking or big and bulky i like the look of the S&W compact or the springfield xd, only thing i dont like about the xd is the grip saftey

and why are u so against the S&W

They are SH*T. My I used them for over 10 years with my old agency...those idiots are still using them. My new agency uses SIG P226 .357 perhaps the sweetest gun I've ever shot.

yea i was looking at some .357's too but i think a 9 or 40 or possibly 45 will suit me better

more less the 9 or 40 i am stuck between in which one to pick

and the S&W i have read alot online and people like them and they have a good warranty and the price is decent so i am thinking of going with the S&W M&P compact either the 9 or .40

well aint looking to kill myself haha just self defense and a carrying gun so why did you pick the 9mm

First off there's nothing wrong with S&W, I've shot quite a few of them and they're decent guns. They're just not very comfy.

How much are you wanting to spend?

Sigs are nice guns, much better quality than the entry S&Ws. I couldn't personally tell a ton of difference in performance/comfot between the Slimline Glock .45 I shot and the Sig .45 I shot, I enjoyed them both equally.

Springfield 1911 will more than likely be my weapon choice. I've asked a lot, and then recently got to shoot one. I love the gun personally.

Once again, what price range are you looking to establish? If you want something that's compact and rather sleek, check out the Slimline series of Glock, they're nice little ladies.

And you'll need some practice with any handgun that you purchase to adjust to them, it doesnt matter which brand or model you go with.

And you shouldnt need more than three bullets. If you need more, you have no purpose for that gun other than shooting at the range.

Just my .02
