how big is the SPL box going to be? 1.8 cubes seems a little large for a 10" and +7000 watts.

a single 10 will be pointless for spl or even daily in an explorer. unless you are alan dante. you need more cone area to get loud.

its funny how people under estimate the sub because its a 10.

with the power and the right box i have no doubt he would hit a 145. now breaking 150 may be out of reach.

its no explorer but with the sub he has dave hit slightly over a 155 in his crx. everything under the glass in a tiny little box on 2 z1a's

but yes DD will recone it to an 18 for around 400 if you really want to

i had 2 dd 10s in my explorer with 6000w rms going to them and best i could do was 147db mines a 4dr explorer 03 and its not a crx it need alot to get pressure in a explorer compared to a crx that 1/5 its size inside.

i had it in my 4dr tahoe and did just fine for the few days i had it in there on my 9000d

just run it and get it metered you will be suprised with what you will get from it

when dave had this 10 in his crx he had a pair on 2 z1as doing 155 if he only had 1 sub id say he probley was doing 153db and i said my guess with the right box in a explorer was 145db know more no less just from what i know i can do 152db with 2 12s in mine and 154db with 4 12s

plus his crx dont have any panels anyone will tell you most crx gain 2 db without them and is that set up it never happend(155db)
