99 grand am passlock module

ok, my girlfriend has a 99 grand am and wants remote start, i have hooked up all the remote start wires, and an Omega IB-PLXR module for the passlock. the guy at the place i bought the module said it had passlock 2 but the car has a white black and yellow wire and by the diagram it looks like it should be passlock 1. so i have a few questions,

1 which passlock is it

2 if its passlock 1 do i need the bulb test wire hooked up or not and what color is it

3 do i need a key sense wire hooked up.

if i have the module hooked up, it will not let me start the car at all with a key, even when im trying to program the module by following the directions for it.
