That's why as a rule-of-thumb, you ALWAYS check your final impedance load on the subs before you ever plug them into the amp. I'm not being apologetic for Steve's actions as I have recieved wrong coil configurations before myself, but you should have checked those coils first.

Wait...raised the load? That means you were running them higher than .5? How did you have the subs wired?

That must be an old pic, unless that thing is grounded underneath the T adapter the amp wouldn't even turn on because there'd be no ground going to it. That's my observation.
