98 Camaro Power Wire

Pop the hood, and look over on the far sides of the firewall on the passenger or drivers side. There should be a fairly large hole where some cables are going for the power to the electric stuff. Thats where I put the power cable for my friends system, and it was a 0\1 awg. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

It should be fairly low actually. You shouldnt have to drill it, the whole is already there. You CAN drill a hole, but if you do I'd suggest the passenger side because theres not as much electrical stuff and things that can get in your way. I dont remember exactly where it was, but I'll check his car out this week if I can.

On the left...near the top is a good place to drill...you can go lower if you want and there may be stock wire loom running through the firewall already.

If you drill, I would suggest using a "step bit" from the inside of the car , passenger side, low. make sure there is nothing in the way.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Ok, well this is what i ended up doing. I got help for another forum, and i ended up removing the computer from the pass. side of the engine bay, there was a grommet that was about 2 inch. across and i ran the power through there w/ no drilling. hope his helps someone else out.

I knew there was a whole for the factory wiring... I just didn't know it was hidden behind the computer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif On my truck, my moms Blazer, and my dads truck, they were all on the passenger side right above the fender well things. :-D Sorry I couldn't tell you that before.
