I just got a 96 explorer and i was curious as to what size speekers i need?

i hate that i cant tell you but eventually your gonna have to take the doors off to get to the speaker. (unless you have pertruding speaker grills. In that case jsut pop them right off.) There should be a couple of screws and then there are door pins. Just pull the door and it should come off. How many speakers do you have? Chances are they are different sizes. If you need any more help on the speakers or audio, just ask. Matt.

heres the deal

if you have an explorer w/ 4 doors you have 6x8's in all four doors. You shold get some Pioneer 6x8's if your lookin for good sound and decent prices. Hope it helps. Matt.

you could do what I did and get speaker hole brackets and put compnents in your door and get a much much better sound

Where can you get speaker hole brackets for componets that fit the 6x8 opening? I have a set of ADS that I would like to put in my Explorer.

I can't remeber where the shop go tthem from but they ordered two pairs, they can't be that hard to find
