9515 or RE XXX 15

Im looking to do a single 15" sub build in my 02 Impala. I've narrowed it down to either a dd 9515 or a re xxx 15, Im looking for SPL and it will be ported and will be getting around 2000 watts rms. I need some help deciding what one to go with.

What year XXX?This would be a hard choice for me too,both are loud and sound great,So in this case get what ever u can the cheapest.

id get the dd. ive had a 9515 and xxx18 and id prefer the dd for spl

i would think the xxx would give you more spl at really low frequencies b/c of the outrageous excursion, like the low car flexing bass. for putting up high numbers you cant go wrong with the DD. all out spl i would get the DD.

FYI both the XXX and 95s are SQL woofers.XXX has the advantage on the sq and the DD has the upper hand loud wise.IMO.Both plays lows.

not sayin the DD cant play clean, tight bass, but outta the 2 id go the dd for an spl application. havent heard the new xxx, but it looks like it'll move a lot of air.
