Good luck with the car. If you're not a member already, impalassforum.com/vBulletin is a great forum for our cars. I recommend joining, especially if it's a fixer upper. Also, my 2 cents, don't go all ghetto with it. Keep it original. Restore it to original condition. It looks a lot better that way and earns more respect in the real B-body world.

Because it still wouldn't have the impala engine, suspension, leather interior, etc. Those mid 90's impala SS's were more than just a trim package.

Actually, the Impala was a trim package on a B4U/LT1 Caprice. The Impala added the WX3 trim package. That took off most chrome molding, had different seats, side scripts, spoiler, Impala badging, in 94 it had little rear quarter window fillers, and in 96 it moved the column shifter to a floor shifter. The Caprice 9C1 was actually a little better performance wise than any of the other B-body cars. A good majority of 9C1 cars were B4U and LT1 combos. The 9C1 was the police package. It had upgraded radiator hoses, a separate ***** and oil cooler, and it would shut off the accessories when you needed more power. If you think I'm wrong, research it. These cars consume my life, sadly enough.
