95 explorer egr block

ok my egr valve is dirty and i wanted to clean it then block it off were is the valve at on my SUV is it on the exust manafuld and how would i block it off.? please can really use the help.

u would have to plug the hole on the exhaust manifold and on the intake manifold.. i had a aftermarket header and had the hole welded, then on the manifold, i just got a piece of metal and drilled two holes and bolted it like a block off plate

why would you go through the trouble of cleaning it if youre just gonna block it off?
