My power wire goes though the firewall as well, my hole is in the driver side foot well, runs under the carpetall the way back to the amp.

i drilled a hole through the wire wall, was too impatient to try and find a hole. Have had 0 issues

I have 4 gauge coming through my firewall on the drivers side; later on today im drilling another hole for 0 gauge. Very easy.

how do you get the side trims off to run the wire under the carpet? Do they just pop off like other cars?

If you are talking about the plastic piece on the bottom where the door meets...yes.

It was kinda tough so I didn't want to break it. lol.

Yea, I took all my seats out, 4 bolts per seat, and a couple bolts in the center console. I took the carpet out so I can clean EVERYTHING, took the carpet to the powerwash, cleaned the leather seats, rust proofed the bare floor, now today im gonna run 1-2 strands of 0 gauge, I only have 25'
