For the low-budget side of things look at a Profile AP2000.

Rated for 960w X 1 @ 4 Ohms bridged....will likely do between 850-900.

Easily found on eBay for under $200/shipped.

anyone have experience with that amp? how about the sundown sae-1000d?

i actually bought that amp from cadence 2 weeks ago and have been running it at 2ohm. pretty nice, no problems what so ever. did read on ecoustics an email someone posted from a tech at cadence though that the sundown sae1000d is a better amp, as the txa line is their budget line. for the sundown 1000d, no personal experience yet, but have a bnib pair sitting in my room right now, waiting to be installed or sold, not sure yet. and from sundowns forum i remember reading it actually benched around 1100wrms @ 1ohm.
