I just e-mailed this person and they said they would make a 10" enclosure (finished with carpet and paint) for $90, made to order..

I don't have alot of experiences with boxes but this is a good deal right???

Anyone have experience with this person?

90 is an awesome deal. most people who even "hook up" buddies in a club charge 150-250

I just bought almost all of what I needed to start fiberglassing today. Even with my parents sporting for a lot of it, I still handed over nearly $80 today. $90 for a FG enclosure is just insane.

I would just be sure he doesn't take the cheap way out and make the walls way too thin. Last thing you need is an enclosure with tons of resonance, or one that cracks after a couple days of use.

Jesus where did you buy all your stuff from?

Ive spent maybe 300+ on mine. Before Paint.

So far ive used maybe 15-20 packs of fiberglass matting and cloth and almost 3.5 cans of bondo resin. Then maybe $50 on random stuff like brushes, buckets, extra Mekp, and stuff... Then i hat to buy and get the wood cut... that cost like 75 bucks... And i still haven't even started the paining and sanding and repainting and bondoing and sanding and sanding.

$90 is way too cheap. I would be suspicious myself.

He is either mass producing these in China for $3.68 each or they are not built very well.

 

If it is built right, then he is making no money. No, he is losing money.

I think (hope) it's a she. But this looks like a hella good deal. I'm gonna check into it. Even if it is a lil thin, cant you just line the inside with a couple more layers?
