8v pre-outs ok with this amp?

Don't worry if this is one of the newer model Eclipse units. Last years or older, just don't set your gain past volume 70. And it will never reach 8v. Regardless the amp will be fine.

I called the tech support at Precision Power and as it turns out the amp will take up to 12 volts continuously and be ok.

Looks like im gonna get that Eclipse after all //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

You all need to get your DMM's out and ACUALLY start measuring voltages!!! Yea that 8v Eclipse deck will probably put out 8v.....with the volume at 80/80 using a sine wave!! Do you listen to sine waves at full volume?? If yes, then you MIGHT have something to worry about. If not then you need to realize that at moderate listening volumes (ex 65/80) that deck is probably pumping out 2-3 volts TOPS!!!

All my amps would be dead by now if the things you *hear* were true.
