880prs owners, care to chime in?

I was just wondering what ur voltage meter reads out on ur 880's with ur cars off and then on?

Because i get a 15.9 with car off and 16.7 with car on. And i have a completley stock electrical. Im thinking its just very inaccurate but want to know if its just mine. LMK

Mine's actually fairly accurate to my voltage meter. I have it connected directly to the battery though, and grounded directly to the chassis. Reads at about 12.8 with car off and 13.8-14.0 with car on.

Its all in the ground, or so I was told by the shop that sells Premier. I am using the stock ground, plus another wire to a nicely sanded spot on the firewall. Mine reads 14.6-7 with the engine on. I dunno about off I've never checked.

My brothers is usually with in .5 a volt of the multimeter...

Mine reads the same as my factory one at around 14.9. Its hooked up to the factory harness wires.

I just dont understand y mine is reading such high voltage, actually hopefully it really is somehow that high.

i would check your real voltage with a dmm. Mine reads correct according to both of my dmms. Although the refresh rate is disgustingly slow....

Yea... The refresh rate is slower than watching a car rust....

You should get it checked out. It is possible for the voltage to be that high and it is not a good thing. Anything over about 15.0-15.2 means you have a bad voltage regulator (usually built in to the alternator). I agree, not only could you ruin your battery but anything electrical in the car could be ruined by the high voltage, including your audio equipment.
