Is there any way to search through songs quickly? At 550 artists on my ipod it take forever to find anything.

i guess a playlist is the better way to go, I wish i knew this before i bought this. A friend has the 9887 and there is ways to skip through faster.

but on a playlist you can only search by song, so it still takes a long as time unless you make really small playlists....

Yep, it sucks. I only have 800ish songs on my iPod, so I have a couple playlists - bass, 100 most played, favorites, etc. I rarely just listen to all the songs together.
