Watch the heat on the Power Acoustik CPT4-1700 (120-150 rms per channel at 4ohm) We sold a few of the a/b amps and ended up replacing all of them with other brands and returning them to the distro. Had two of them die before they got out of the parking lot. The couple of D amps that we did have been ok.
No... beings that highs are directional, I figured it would be a complete waste to have them flush mounted and pointing up at the roof. First time I have ever actually used the mounting hardware that comes with speakers/tweeters. LOL
yeah... Building a spare and planning to go MPFI with that engine. going to throw a 20G on the engine that is in the car and see how long she will last. Cranked the stock turbo up to about 10psi and the clutch is slipping. Once i get the clutch replaced, I will be maxxing out the stock turbo before doing anything else. It is already pretty dang fun to drive at 8psi, can't wait for 15~!!
as it sits:
3" down pipe/exhaust (no cats/muffler)
3.5" intake
MAF-T
3.5" GM MAF (blow thru)
AEM wideband
AEM boost gauge
Taylor racing wires (made by me from some ford modular wires)
E3 spark plugs (replacing with NGK's here soon)
'89 ECU
'89 "ignitor box"
HKS blow off valve
I think that is about all I have done to it so far...
