Well, I am spending most of my money on performance but decided to give myself a $1k budget for the system. That was pretty hard considering I usually spend about that much on an amp alone. However, I managed to get everything for about $800~. All of it is brand new with 1-2 year warranty, I have never had anything with a warranty before. LOL Of course, you can already tell this means cheap, over rated, "main stream" sh!+.

The car:

The junk:

Consists of:

unknown Pioneer deck (in the car when I bought it, probably getting replaced)

Fusion PowerPlant 6.5"s for the rear

Lanzar OptiDrive 5.25"s for the front

2) RE S3X 10"s

Power Acoustik CPT4-1700 (120-150 rms per channel at 4ohm)

Power Acoustik CPT1-5500D (1800-2200 rms @ 1ohm)

NQS 250A, dual rectifier, CS144 alternator (along with the stock 75A)

Big 3 of course

KNU wire as always

box will be 2.5ft^3 net @ 36hz~ via 6" aero

The main reasons I went with the PA amps... the price, yes, they over rate the hell out of their stuff but still good power for the price, which is about $0.10/watt. The looks, I love the looks for some reason, everything visible is going to have that "matte black" finish so these amps fit right in.

those PA amps actually look really nice!
I know right... I was on ebay and did the whole "rms wattage between 2kw-4kw" or whatever and seen them. I fell in love with the look right away. Then I spent a few days convincing myself to buy them. It was pretty hard, up until this, the most "cheap, main stream" amp I have run is the Planet Audio VX2200D...

Either way, I am happy with all of my purchases. Especially as I got those Fusion comps for like $50~ shipped. Paid $35 for them and then got an email saying it was a typo, suppose to be $135. I said "not my problem, if you don't want negative feedback, you will honor the purchase price and learn from your mistake". So that is what they did, the next day I looked and they have them at $135 now. Not sure what they normally cost or what a "good" price is but for $35, I will give them a try! Plus, they look sexy as hell too!

Holy slow build batman!!!

Well, sadly, I will probably be making good progress on this build finally. I say sadly because me and my "baby mama" of 5 years split up and we are doing the "every other week" custody **** so, no kid this week, I will need to find something to keep myself busy and keep my mind off crap!!!

here is what I got done today... deck installed (I HATE the diamond plate but that is how it was setup so, it will work for now), I also got the rear components installed. I am only running them on deck power right now, pretty impressive for only getting like 15 watts! LOL
