85 sq. in. of port and a 2 inch port.

I know this. I have the right ratio, just wondering if it's too narrow because it's plenty wide. I've got a little under 14 sq. in. per cu. ft. so I think I should be okay.

Its too long and skinny. i think the ratio is like 11/1 or 12/1

I played with the design a bit and came out with 43.5 with width so the ratio of the port is actually 14/1 because I switched up the volume to be 6 cu. ft.

They mean the length to width ratio of the port. Not the ratio of port area per cube of volume. You're ratio now is about 22/1 for a 2" x 43.5" port opening.

i believe for daily its about 5:1 and SPL it needs to be like 4:1 or so. maybe less.

We're talking about the port opening dimensions. I guess width x height would be a better way of wording it rather than saying length. My bad I should have worded it better.

you need to do your port area large enough so that you don't get port noise. There's a ratio of height x width of the port and then there's port area as compared to volume.

Area to volume should be around 14:1

Height to width should be around 5:1 or 4:1 like was previously stated.

could you do 10" sono tube?? would take up less internal volume but be long

hm current box is nothing special and 15" high with 2.5" port opening, so your saying that I should have port noise??

Ideally you want to keep the port as square as possible. I've always used 1:9 as the ratio for the port opening.
