My friend's 801d runs a little hot in my opinion. I wanted to make something that would aim my 2 80mm computer fans at the amplifier to cool it down. However, if you just connect the red to red and black to black it's obviously going to run 24/7. Is there anyway to install a 12v computer fan so that it only turns on when the amplifier is on? You couldn't use the remote turn on lead as it runs a lot less voltage, right?

Ok now for my question on my amp. I'm running a 1501d and I was wondering if I cut off 3.5 feet or so of power cable (I have excess in the back) would my amp see a little better voltage, or would it just be minute. Also, my ground is 3 feet long I think, if I took that down to about a foot or so would I see any benefits? Thanks.
