Saw some everstart batteries that were 54.99$ at Target that had 800+ CCA, not sure if it was 800 or 900.

But i was told that the more CCAs the stronger the battery. The optimas have 800ccas.

You think this battery would be a good cheaper alternative to the optimas?

Johnson Controls makes Optima, as well as being an aftermarket supplier for WalMart...where you will find Everstart batteries, as well as Costco...where you will find Costco batteries.

Need more?

nope.

only reason i asked is because consumer reports did a test on ever start batteries vs. kirkland signature batteries.

They said that the ever starts werent as good.

Not every everstart is the same, might have been a bad brand.

Usually the everstarts i see are 600cca's, and i know the higher the cca's the better, so if they got a 800cca batt for 1/3 a yellow top then why not?

I've had a wal-mart everstart 825 CCA for about 5 years now. It's always dealt with about 1000w audio power, quite a few electrical accessories, and even the death of an alternator.

Factor in my negligence which has rusulted in running it deaddead 8 or 10 times over the years, AND the fact that it still works fine -- I'd say it's been a decent battery //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
