800 WRMS to work with. Need Some opinions

Im going to buy a kicker 750.1 Amp, but I still haven't decided on what sub. Im considering going with just 1 sub, either a kicker L7 or CVX, But I like the look of two woofers. Would 2 subs equaling 800 watts be as good as 1 800 watt Sub?

not always, imo... others will say different, so sometimes yes (as far as the 2 vs. 1 goes), but with a zx750.1, if you want spl, from those 2 choices, i'd say the L7... if you want it to sound a little better, get the cvx...

my recommendation is the cvx... i'v had L7's and cvx's and will never do L7's again...

I have a Chrysler Sebring, So the trunk is big enough to handle either dual 12s or 15s in a ported box. Im willing to pay up to $500 for the subs.

jimj is right, front stage is important, but of the 2 choices you gave, the cvx is it... my single cvx hit's hard enough, some people think it's 2 subs. on that amp it'll be pretty **** loud too

If all other factors are equal, 2 subs at 400W each will give slightly more output and lower distortion than a single one at 800W.

I currently have a set of MTX comps but I will be upgrading to CDT HD 6.2.
