$800 to spend what amps would you get?

What kind of system will it be pushing? You might look into Memphis, The Memphis Belle is an AMAZING amp. It's a hybrid class a/b and class d in one amp, it's runs 75 X 4 @ 4ohms on the class a/b side and 1100 X 1 @ 1ohm on the class d side. Hell for $800.00 if your looking online you can probably find anything you want if you are patient. For me I'm getting the Memphis Belle I think, unless something tragic happens. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Good luck

There are a lot of amps that claim 1000's of watts but you have to look at the specs. The three most important are the THD(total harmonic distortion, signal to noise ratio and damping factor. You want at least 500 damping factor, a signal to noise ratio of at least 110 db, and a THD of .01% or less. I would go with the eclipse 34230 1100 watts of CLEAN power.(e bay)retail at a 1000.00 dollars usually on ebay for about 300.00.

I feel like an idiot because I've posted this a hunderd times already but here it goes again....

I need to get rid of my Cadence 7hc. 1200w-1400w x 1 @ 1ohm, SNR: >110, THD:
(This is the last the I'm going to post this because I feel like I'm starting to be a pain.)

Why such a high damping factor? I havent noticed any that high... unless they say 200+ or so.

Ummm...I don't think so. By the looks of it, it's made by the same company the makes Boston Acoustics. I never known them to make amps but that is the same font and style. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

The damping factor is kind of like a suspention built in to the signal. The reason so many people like phoenix gold is cause they have a damping factor of 1000. Personally I don't like them cause their signal to noise ratio is only like 90 db. But if your pushing subs you generally want a high damping factor. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wave.gif.002382ce7d7c19757ab945cc69819de1.gif
