8" tube

I just bought a Jensen JS80 from ebay and I plan on changing the sub with a JBL GTO804 Grand Touring Series 800w 8in.

I just want some thought on weather its a good idea or a bad one.

I have the crappy lighting audio sub right now... I also wanna run my current amp, along with the amp on the tube.

firts off the tube idea is not a good one. that tube was made for that sub. you can try it but more than likely will be a waste of time. second that jbl gto is a 200w rms sub....not 800. never go by peak power.

are you asking if you can run 2 amp to the same sub? if so, the answer is yes, but not in your situation. they must be two of the same amp with the exact saem settings.

i made a box for a guy that had the 10" gto with a 400w audiobahn. it sound really nice....for a small setup.

my recommendation is that you ditch the tube. spin the wheel to get at least the 10" gto, build a box for it and put about 200w to it. i don't know what you current amp is so i don't want to say to use that. if it's under 400w, then use it.
